Nataša Nikolić

Nataša leverages her two decades of diverse professional experience across equity research, climate research, macroeconomic research, industry & development aid to design customised solutions for her clients. Clients benefit from independent analyses and recommendations based on facts.

  • For Investors / Investment Industry

Nataša worked seven years in equity research at WestLB Panmure GmbH & WestLB AG. She was responsible for one ATX & four DAX companies from the European transport sector. Already in 2009 she integrated ESG criteria into financial models & valuation to assess the impact of the EU Emission Trading Scheme on the Aviation industry.

Nataša understands the requirements of the investment industry to consider ESG criteria in investment strategy and process as well as to transition their investment portfolios to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. 

  • For Companies / Industry

Nataša has more than ten years experience in industry, with a focus on Specialty Chemicals. She has been involved in diverse projects across Corporate Strategy, Risk Management, Market Analyses and Sustainability. In 2012 she was co-responsible for defining the sustainability strategy of Evonik Industries AG. At present she is Chief Economist at Evonik, supporting the CEO and Head of Corporate Strategy with macroeconomic and market risk forecasts. 

Nataša understands the requirements of industry to reduce emissions and adjust strategy and business models to support the transition to a low-carbon economy.

 

  • For Governments / Economics and Development Aid

Nataša has been Chief Economist at Evonik Industries AG since 2015. She regularly creates the economic outlook at country, regional and global level for the board of directors. She monitors the global financial stability and impact of monetary & fiscal policies on growth. Nataša has hands on experience in emerging markets as she worked on behalf of the German Federal Ministry in Eastern European countries to promote their economies. 

Nataša understands the requirements of advanced economies and emerging markets to reduce emissions and mobilise financial resources for mitigation and adaptation. 

  • Climate Research

Nataša conducted various climate research projects at Forschungszentrum Jülich, Global Risk Forum Davos and university. In 2012, she proved that the Kyoto mechanisms (EU ETS, Clean Development Mechanism & Joint Implementation) need substantial reform to be environmentally effective and showed the relevance of the carbon market and private capital for climate finance. In 2010 she evaluated the ESG performance of a great part of candidates for the German Sustainability Award. 

Nataša is a certified environmental, social and governance (ESG) analyst (EFFAS /DVFA 2020). She holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Sciences (2012) from the University of Cologne, a Master’s (2005) and Bachelor’s (2002) Degree in Business Administration from the University of Dusseldorf. Nataša is fluent in German, English, Spanish & Serbo-Croatian.
